Funny discussions on the me theme but I think you're misging the point: the best is to comment on other people's charts and preferably the ones on this site: as far as I know Scaruffi does not have a chart on this site at least not under his own name Smile

Not so sure about that...

there are indeed people referring to Scaruffi and of course there are worst references but that doesn't mean it's the master himself Wink

Not now.

Personally the best charts for me are those that I click with by finding some common ground alongside things I've never heard before. Consequently, Bruno's, Suede's, Norm's, Brandon's and of course my SITFOTS Lady Godiva are my top 5 overall ones.

I don't buy the fact that comments somehow make a chart any better, despite having had comments on mine since day one. There are a couple of charts with comments that bore the tits off me.

its rly hard to say best, I've maybe gotten the most pulls from exit sense. I guess what i value most is charts that I share some knowledge with and it's like "hey this is coming from a place I'm interested in" but then also havin stuff I need to check out. satie, dbz, and andyw off the top of my head also are high up there, there's a lot of good ones here tho.

Of course I agree that long texts can be very boring but If they're really original they shouldn't be even If you don't connect with the musical style; in any case your chart and Gow's are definitely fitting the definition

I’m kind of bored by charts without notes, in all honesty. Perhaps this is a character flaw on my part but I feel you don’t really get a comprehensive understanding beyond a list of albums. You can infer sounds they like, but that’s about it. Even with my unfinished chart I try to give that understanding—that personal exposition to the reader so they don’t just go “huh, 4 stars I guess.”.

I think I'm with Gowi on this. I like to hear what people think of what they like. Once upon a time I had big 'ol micro-essays to that effect but they were bad so now they're gone, but I still appreciate the presence of that kind of thing in other charts
