I've always found this album cover to be really cute. I don't think it deserves to be on the top 20 albums of the fifties, though.

It just scrapes into my top 20 albums of the 50's. That being said, I definitely believe this deserves to be in our top 1,000... it's a shame that it isn't.

I really enjoy this album... it's just a very easy, very enjoyable listening experience with two spectacular singers in the spotlight.

Am I the only one who's deeply, let's say perplexed to keep things PC, by a very distinct Uncle Tom reminiscence whenever I look at this cover or listen to the album? I have always been very disturbed by this record.

Hard words indeed.

I will say that I believe the effervescence of Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald is most palpable in the recordings from their youth. These are true American treasures.
