"2011 AD—On May 21st, Judgment Day will begin and the rapture (the taking up into heaven of God’s elect people) will occur at the end of the 23-year great tribulation. On October 21st, the world will be destroyed by fire (7000 years from the flood; 13,023 years from creation)."
I've heard lots of believers have been spending all their money on advertising the coming of the event.
There's no way to know for certain what will happen, but what's your opinion on this matter?
I doubt this will happen, but it's still possible. And if it's true, we're all screwed.

I don't know what will happen in the next minute personally. But I do believe that the Bible is true as are all of it's prophesies. I haven't yet responded to the poll but I will in a few minutes.
My interpretation of the scriptures is that Adam was created in 4,000 BC and the flood happened around 2,500 BC. I do agree with the site as far as a 1,000 years as being a day. I do believe that, like the Holy Sabbath, there will be six days (6,000 years) and then the great tribulation, then after 7 years, Christ returns as king of kings and lord of lords. Then one day (1,000 years) when Jesus rules the earth from the new Jerusalem. Then the great white throne judgement will take place.
The problem is in the numbers for me, and the fact that I do not believe there will be any "rapture" before the tribulation. Yes, the pre-trib rapture theory has become very popular in recent decades but I believe it is part of the great deception the Bible speaks of leading up to the 7 year tribulation which begins when Israel signs a 7 year peace treaty. Satan will be forever kicked out of Heaven and will be cast down to earth. He will indwell a human who has power already and he gets more power and this man (known as the Ant-Christ) will rule the world and force everyone to take his mark or be killed. _________________ .

Well, I'm not dead and Jesus isn't here, so that date is officially wrong.

No, you got it wrong. The events that LEAD to the end of the world start today. The actual end of the world is not until October 21. The evidence for it all is overwhelming too, so overwhelming in fact that even though you haven't noticed anything on the side of the world where people walk upside down you should still believe it. After all, your parts of the world aren't even mentioned in the bible so you probably don't exist anyway. Here's the proof:
5 means reconciliation.
10 means perfection.
17 means heaven.
5 x 10 x 17 = 722,500.
On May 21 2011 it has been 722,500 days since the crucifixion of the jesus.
So there we go. It's all pretty obvious now, isn't it?
