I'm looking for some new rap music, but a specific type. I want the flow stuff. I have really been digging de la souls "Grind Date", J. Cole, MF Doom "Operation doomsday", Quasimoto "The Unseen", the new michael christmas, Rick Ross, Big L "The Big Picture", Kendrick Lamar, OutKast, A Tribe Called Quest. I'm looking for some new rap that flows like previously listed artists but is not previously listed artists/

based on your current taste I think you'd really dig these

Blowout Comb by Digable Planets

the smoothest of smooth jazz-rap. Actually the smoothest hip-hop album ever tbh

Labcabincalifornia by The Pharcyde

that laid-back west-coast sound complete with some of J Dilla's best production work

The Downfall Of Ibliys: A Ghetto Opera by MF Grimm
think the style of DOOM but with Kendrick style conscious lyricism

To Whom It May Concern... by Freestyle Fellowship
&

Innercity Griots by Freestyle Fellowship
really fun jazzy hip-hop with some of the best flows in the game

literally anything by Gang Starr. Guru has the quite possibly the best voice in the genre, and his lyrics are clever and poignant. And of course DJ Premiere is forever one of the best producer's to ever touch a sampler

Stress: The Extinction Agenda by Organized Konfusion
crazy internal rhymes and smooth-as-water production abound

Breaking Atoms by Main Source
just rly good hip-hop, nothin much ground-breaking but honestly for what it is (and I think it's what you're looking for) it's basically perfect.

I Wish My Brother George Was Here by De...Homosapien
strong contender for funkiest hip-hop album ever, and Del himself is a quirky kind of smooth

Strictly Business by EPMD
somehow simultaneously laid-back and hard-hitting

Wanted: Dead Or Alive by Kool G. Rap & DJ Polo
It's Kool G. Rap. Idk what else to say, the man is a legend and single-handedly reinvented the very concept of flow

Internal Affairs by Pharoahe Monch
more slick internal rhyming from one of the Organized Konfusion guys

The Great Adventures Of Slick Rick by Slick Rick
the greatest storyteller in rap with one of the best flows to boot

Kollage by Bahamadia
she is the very definition of "cool"

hope that helps Smile

Wanted: Dead Or Alive by Kool G. Rap & DJ Polo
I'd never really fully appreciated how good kool g rap is/was until I'd played this a few times in the last few days. incredible rhyming over some fairly hardcore tracks. Great production from large professor too.

From this year I'd recommend this:

Fish-N-Grits by J-Zone

Welcome.

I really dig Earl Sweatshirt. I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside was one of my favorites when it came out but I over listened to it. I'll listen to doris more though, I've only listened through it once.

Dividesbyzero - thanks, I will check out those albums. I like what ive heard from MF Grimm and del the funky homosapien, but i havent listened to eithr of those albums. definitely excited to check it all out.
