When I saw Ice Ice Baby by the second entry, I was sure I need not ever read any further . . . but then I saw MMMBop.
Really, lots of contenders on the list. Could have also added Rico Suave and I'm Too Sexy.

MMMBop is far from cheesy. It's classic pop and one of Kurt's greatest songs.

There's loads of 'goodies' your list misses - Barbie Girl, anything by 2 Unlimited or the Vengaboys, bloody Lou bleedin' Vega's godawful Mambo No.5 and Whigfield's Saturday Night should all be up there. But my vote would have gone to that bloody Scatman John track if it were an option, a song which takes on new connotations when you start reading the Urban Dictionary. Either that or Oh Comely. _________________ 'Reggae' & t'ing

i take exception. barbie girl is an incredible song. cheesy? not at all. it was significant on the political scale, taking a radical but direct approach in criticizing our culture's obsession with sex and physical appeal - to the point where we train little girls to think that this is something they're to live up to. it was incredible. it called barbie out for the wrecking force it is, and it's satirical feminism is gah HOW CAN YOU CALL THIS CHEESY!?
everything else on your list, i agree but not on this one. heck, enya's china roses, man. that blur song about boys and girls, WONDERWALL, creed's With Arms Wide Open / Higher, etc.
actually, now that i'm remembering the Creed. i think it's creed. juss can't decie whic son. _________________ follow me on the bandcamp.

U Wot M8?
Didn't live in the 90s to know the impact of many of these songs and how cheesy it was at the time, but from what I've heard of them I would say Iris by Goo Goo Dolls I'm blue is by far the cheesiest and most annoying thing on this list, also All Star is one of the masterpieces of our time, the kind of song that you call all your friends and spend some money in the mall trying to play rock band to. We should do 00's next, I would be totally up for that. _________________ Top 100 Hits you must hear before the u... of beauty

I love All Star to be honest, but it has literally become a meme since Shrek became a meme. I've spent too much time watching "All Star by Smash Mouth in alphabetical order" or similar videos so I'm not sure what I'm doing with my life in general. This song is a meme so I think it's pretty cheesy.
