Is it theoretically possible to fudge the ratings system on BEA in so far as you leave your chart open for feedback, then once you get to an average rating level you want lock it in by disabling the ability for others to rate and comment?
Not mentioning any names, but if you look at the BEA highest-rated charts you'll see what I mean. Also seems a tad unfair that said user's ratings are still showing up in other's charts too. |
Good spot, that definitely looks like a couple of bugs.
The first error is, the chart shouldn't be listed as 'top-rated' if feedback is disabled. The individual chart itself doesn't have a rating when you drill into it (but in the background the rating still exists).
The second error is, the person's existing ratings are still listed for other charts even though the person has feedback disabled on their own chart. The person that has disabled feedback on their chart shouldn't be able to rate other charts (and any existing ratings shouldn't be listed or included in other people's averages).
I'll investigate & try and fix these issues ASAP.
EDIT: First bug now fixed (charts with feedback disabled no longer appear in the top-rated chart).
EDIT: The second issue is not a bug (the user has at least one chart with feedback enabled).
