Long established users...
If you are going to load the site with 50-100+ track compilations, at least add the tracks yourself. You know how to do it. If you want the albums on the site, it would be the nicer thing to do to not just leave all the work for others. Especially when we have a backlog of over 100 albums to work. We all have limited time. It wouldn't kill you to do some work on albums you add here. _________________ May we all get to heaven

I apologize of this has been posted before, but I couldn't find it. Does BEA have a site-wide policy for how to deal with features in song titles? Sometimes the (feat. insert artist here) is included in the official track title and sometimes it isn't. The treatment also seems to be inconsistent on the site. Also, in compilations by a collection of artists, some include the artist in the song title and others don't, which is similarly treated inconsistently on the site.
If there isn't an official policy on this, it might be wise to look into establishing one, but it could also be completely unnecessary since this is the first time I've seen this brought up.

ONLY the track title should be entered (please do not add the composer, length etc), except for albums by 'Various Artists' where the the artist may be added to the track name, separated by a hyphen e.g. A Song - An Artist.
For tracks credited with a 'featured artist' as part of the title on the artwork, please add the name of the featured artist in brackets after the title e.g. A Song (Feat. An Artist).

Could somebody please stop going through the albums I add and capitalising all the track names? I'm very careful to make sure I capitalise everything correctly, and it's a heinous sight to my English teacher eyes when someone then incorrectly "corrects" this.
Besides that, all love due to the album mod crew. I only have time to moderate albums I personally add, but doing other users' additions is god's work. Big love. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

There was a big hubbub about this a few years ago. At that time, I believe AM et al. wanted every first letter of every word capitalized for consistency, regardless of musician's formatting or language (I believe French releases only ever capitalize the first letter of the first word and English doesn't often capitalize things like "of" or "or" for example). I think it's odd we would override the way a release formats its choice of words, but that's the way the cookie crumbles 'round these parts

This is from the Admin Album Help Page:
"The first letter of each word should be capitalised. Whilst not grammatically correct, it ensures the site is consistent and easy to administer (even for non native speakers of a particular language). If a word is hyphenated, all parts should be capitalised (e.g. Merry-Go-Round rather than Merry-go-round). If a word begins with an apostrophe, it should be capitalised (e.g. 'Til, 'Twas, 'Tis). If a word contains an apostrophe after the first letter, only the first part of the word should be capitalised (e.g. L'accord instead of L'Accord & We've instead of We'Ve). Any abbreviations & acronyms should follow what is written on the release, including any punctuation (if used). Intentional capitalization can also be entered as per the release (if a word does not mean anything in any language)." _________________ May we all get to heaven

Please stop capitalising "(feat. ... )" at least. It's barbaric. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

The "(feat...)" thing was something that was asked for, even fought for. I believe (not 100% sure) that one of the future fixes is to give that its own field. Until then, I don't believe there's any way to separate one word from the capitalization function. Unless AM knows differently... _________________ May we all get to heaven
