bandcamp because it's sustainable for independent music, flacs cost the same price as mp3s, and I can look at collections of people who like the same stuff I do

Aren't Bandcamp and Spotify totally different type of services really? filling entirely different needs? More curious than anything. I think the better question if I understand Bandcamp and it's niche correctly is Spotify vs. Apple vs. Youtube. I chiefly use Spotify, but I love some stuff people have recommended on band camp.

Wait? Dezzer is an actual name for a streaming service. That actually made me giggle a bit. To me it's a toss up between Bandcamp and Youtube. Bandcamp for the strange stuff that you couldn't find anywhere else and Youtube to get the album playlist for most records.

Bandcamp is the obvious choice if you're a musician, but for people like me that need a way to organize all of their shit, then Spotify is the way to go. They've got a lot more variety than they used to.

Pretty much this and what Tilly said.
As a musician with music on BandCamp/ReverbNation/SoundCloud etc. It's a great free service where you can make money and stuff. BUT I can't listen to my Beatles (yes I like them and still regularly listen to them, and no I don't find myself bland/cookie cutter), etc. on BandCamp.
Thing is, my music is on Spotify as well. Sure it's a VERY small fish in all the oceans combined, but it's there along with all my other local bands I like, along with my Beatles (screw you).
Could I branch out more to finding new music on BandCamp/SoundCloud, absolutely. Is it also possible 30 to 60% of new artists I care about actually are on Spotify anyway, yes.
Now I am ashamed I haven't dedicated as much time as I wanted to building my SoundCloud/BandCamp up like I've been given advice to do.
I RARELY if ever have to go out of Spotify, and it usually is to get something illegal anyway (an illegal rip of an album on YouTube or something because short of buying it/or going back to the 2000s, that's the best way to find it)... poorly written sentence=Spotify and YouTube cover 99.99999% of all my music needs.
As for other services - Google Play is cool cause I uploaded my library of about 10k songs to it and can download them to my phone for free. Spotify doesn't do that, so that's a feature I like (or I haven't tried it on Spotify). But I really hate Google's interface.
Apple music... idk... I wanna.

def not Tidal or Youtube. YT is cool for music videos, and sometimes you can find rare stuff you'd never find elsewhere, but they're the worst at getting the artists their paycheck. Tidal are thieves.
BC, Spotify and SC are all really tight. _________________ follow me on the bandcamp.

To be honest, I use most of them. They're all good for different things. Bandcamp is good for Unknown music, SoundCloud I use because I listen to a lot of DJ sets, sometimes Pandora and Spotify when I just want to let it play and play. I think I've used almost all at one time or another.
