It's that time of year again folks — a new one (2018 if you're still keeping score).
Personally, I loved the music output of 2017. Solid, consistent, innovative, plus the duds have already been erased from my mind and I can't wait for Arcade Fire's follow-up to Reflektor. Here's to 2018
This thread will be a general discussion on new and upcoming releases this year, and perhaps any goals/wishes you wish to see in the world of music. Take some time to share singles, EPs, albums, mixtapes, whatever you wish.
I'll start off my sharing some of my anticipated releases:
Earl Sweatshirt
Vampire Weekend
My Bloody Valentine
Sky Ferreira
Tune-Yards
Father John Misty
Chromatics (hopefully)
Blood Orange
Danny Brown
No Age
Iceage
SOPHIE
David Byrne
Natalie Prass
Lucy Dacus
Grouper
U.S. Girls
Speedy Ortiz
Andrew WK
Spiritualized
Rhye
&
a hopefully a slew of artists I know nothing about
And it looks like 2018 already has a familiar face Jeff Rosenstock has released the follow-up to his excellent 2016 album SORRY. Looking forward to giving it a spin later.

Oh I think Sky's new album is becoming pop's Chinese Democracy, prob will see it pushed back even further. Same with Chromatics and how about that Wrens album that seemed forthcoming about four or so years back?
Anyways for 2018 i'm really looking forward to the new Kimbra, the singles have been excellent, and US Girls & Tuneyards both look promising. Otherwise will just see what looks good as the albums start tumbling out.

Very cool.
At first I didn't get it... hehe. I was like, those didn't come out in 2017... I'm a little slow.
