Much as I love all their albums surrounding this one, most of the songs just never kick in for me on this album. Except for Barrytown and Rikki Don't Lose That Number. I'm not sure why, because it's not like they're bad songs or anything.

Most of the 70's albums by Steely Dan are pretty good so give those a listen too if not done so. I can't remember much from this one. Very good band overall though.

used to be my favorite Steely Dan album. Now I prefer Countdown to Exctasy, The Royal Scam and Aja (and above all that The Nightfly by Donald Fagen)

Great album, but somewhat disjointed. I rank it after Katy Lied and Coundown to Ecstasr and maybe their debut ant Aja.
Any Major Dude is one of my favorite deep cuts.

Overall, I'd probably say Aja is the one with the most Great tracks, even though the two fantastic hits on Can't Buy a Thrill actually make me listen to that album more. Do It Again is the song I most often have the urge to listen to out of all their songs.
