oh I don't know much game gear, would be curious to hear some. I had never heard Time Trax, that sounded great, and Jimmy yes Streets of Rage 2 is one of the absolute best.

I'm partial to Kid Chameleon, that has some good stuff https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MI1sal99RDU

32x had some nice stuff, like knuckles chaotix https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqSS0KS...amp;t=1376

and of course I have to mention that you can do things with the sega genesis like take a save state from ghouls n ghosts and load it into theme park, and then theme park doesn't know what to do with any of the game data but it knows how to read the music data and it ends up making music that has no right existing. you can also do this by ripping out a cartridge with the system still on, and plug another one in. though it doesn't work for all games. sega genesis has so much weirdness to it with music, even if my fav isn't on the system it's probably my favorite for video game sound overall.

Do I get thrown out of the discussion for bringing these to the table?

For those who played it, you already know.

For those who haven't, you're welcome...

Freaking yes!! one of my favorite OSTs and also one of my favorite games. Sega had a knack for great music back then; Nights, Sonic CD, Panzer Dragoon Saga and of course JSR.

If you're a hipster like me you might be interested to know that a few of the Sega soundtracks mentioned above are available to buy as colored vinyls. Buy 'em, stick 'em on your shelf, never listen to them 'cos you don't own a record player then flog 'em on Discogs for zillions.

Rad. I'm sorely tempted by this one; https://www.fangamer.com/products/panze...soundtrack

I think it's funny when people call you a hipster. Far from it.

Anyway, great advice mate. I might just have to check Jet Set Radio out cause I really dig that one. I played that game 80% for the music.
