The The national album was already a part of my 2017 top chart and while the other album was not bad (see my prevous comments) I still prefer the Beast

Love Glow and Fade but not ready to vote due to needing to listen to that National album.

The National are one of my favorite bands ever. Trouble Will Find Me and Boxer are all-time great albums, and Alligator, High Violet, and Cherry Tree aren't far behind. And then there's Sleep Well Beast. I heard a few songs in concert before it was released, and liked it a lot when it came out. But upon revisiting it recently, it easily has less replay value than any LP from them since Sad Songs For Dirty Lovers. There are some great songs, and some interesting sonic choices, but too much of the record feels listless and unfinished. That said, I still really like it. But it doesn't transfix me, and this release from Steve Kilbey & Martin Kennedy does. _________________ Add me on RYM

Both great albums but I loved the slight change in style and sound of Sleep Well Beast and it has become my 2nd favourite The National album behind High Violet.
The National for me, and I'm done for this round. Listened to all of the albums and voted in each matchup.
