I reckon instead of recommending you specific albums we should each make you a mixtape. Or Spotify playlist or similar.
A good compy can open doors that you may have otherwise walked past.

Seriously it’d be a pleasure. Although I can’t relate to your situation I know how valuable music can be during a hospital stay. I still have flashbacks to listening to Sigur Ros and Joanna Newsom whilst being whacked out on morphine recovering from meningitis - think it kept me sane throughout the whole thing.
