So I just finished listening to an album produced by Danger Mouse and I feel like everything he touches actually kills the vibe that artist has. It's like he has this deadening effect to an artist... idk... thoughts? Why is Danger Mouse a good producer?

He doesn't have the best batting average. But here are examples where he didn't have a deadening effect:
- Demon Days by Gorillaz
- Love & Hate by Michael Kiwanuka
- Wide Awake! by Parquet Courts _________________ Add me on RYM

Yeah - when I was looking that up, I'd say Demon Days was his best.
I mean his work with Gnarls Barkley wasn't too shabby either.
And sometimes I like that reserved feel. But most times I feel it's stiffing instead of "properly reserved".

That Jay Z/Beatles mashup album was cool.
And The Mouse and the Mask.

Beck actually. I later read Beck himself had issues with his spine during the recordings and he's like sometimes he was "whispering" his vocals... so in this instance it was both the performer and producer.
But yeah, also with RHCP.

So like Bay says, some hit and miss stuff, but when he hits, he hits.

Good album, but I don't think it's in DOOM's top five. _________________ Add me on RYM
