Wow! The rank of this is incredibly high, but it's fantastic. I was so happy I got to see them on the tour following this album, because seing a lot of these songs live helped me realize how great they were.

Totally agree. I am not a huge fan of this album but hearing these songs live with an incredible matching light show I was entranced and lost in the moment. Unforgettable experience. Unfortunately the double edged sword effect means the album can't compare to the live experience.

I started listening to Slowdive aroung the time this was relesead, and for a while I prefered it to Souvlaki. After a while of course Souvlaki completely won me over and I fell in love with it, but this remains a very solid record. No Longer Making Time being my personal favourite.

I maintain my original position when it came out. It's gorgeous and hollow. Still love the shit out of Souvlaki and especially Pygmalion.
