Ryan Adams is a piece of shit in a number of ways, and nearly every other album after this is a mixed bag. But damn if this isn't a perfect record. Track for track, it's some of the sharpest songwriting and most electrifying live production.

Track picks
2. To Be Young (Is To Be Sad, Is To Be High)
4. AMY
9. Come Pick Me Up
14. In My Time Of Need
15. Sweet Lil Gal (23rd/1st)
