I think SFTD is one of the most directly influential rock albums of the last 30 years. The tone of this album can be felt in more mainstream acts all the way down to a couple of generations of local bands I’ve seen gig around the city.
Sometimes when I’ve had space from this album I forget how genuinely fantastic this album is. It’s quite the listen and quite the meshing of hard aesthetics and beautiful melodicism. The Sky is Fallin’ by itself has two or three of my all time favorite Homme melodies. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.
