It took me a while to really appreciate this album. I always viewed Full Moon Fever as the true peak of Tom Petty's career, but over the years its grown a lot on me, and now I feel the albums are sort of a 1A and 1B. It just depends on the mood I'm in at the time. There is a lot of gold in this album beyond the exception singles. Crawling Back to You is one of Petty's best tracks and Wake Up Time as well. Tom Petty was possibly at his best as a songwriter here, which is incredible considering he was nearly 20 years into his career when it came out.
