Who's still waiting for that Taylor Swift black metal records? Cause I think it certainly would be better than this capitalistic folk-pop mess of an album.

There was a rumor going around amongst the Swifties when this album came out, suggesting that she'd said she wanted to do a shoegaze record, which was presumably not true. But some people decided this was too good an idea to not have it happen, so they broke out the effects pedals and tried adding some heavily-overdriven guitar to "Mirrorball." Not enough for my tastes of course, but it wasn't meant to impress people like me, it was meant to impress Taylor Swift herself.

Obviously it's better than the album version, but apparently it wasn't enough to get her to change her "musical direction," assuming she ever actually heard it. And black metal might be even more appropriate for her than shoegaze, though prolonged lower-octave screamo could really wreck her vocal cords if she isn't careful.

Come to think of it, speed metal might be even better!
