This was one of the first serious rock albums I was ever exposed to as a kid. When I was in fourth grade, my older brother of three years picked this up, and would listen to it constantly. After that depressing year, I hated on Pink Floyd for that experience alone, not realizing their genius again until eighth grade. From then on, this became one of my favorite albums ever.
It's not currently on my chart, but I still really love it dearly. I can hardly name five albums with a theme anywhere as poignant as the one expressed in this masterpiece.

Not a big fan. Found the story to be rather silly, but there's some nice songs. Just takes a while to get to them

That's the other big problem, all the best stuff is on Disc 2. _________________ I love all music. It makes you feel like living. Silence is death.

This was my first experience with Pink Floyd. I did not became a huge fan until hearing DSotM for the first time a couple of years after, but the whole part from Hey You through Comfortably Numb was totally mesmerizing to me at the time.
I actually think that the movie, while visually great, doesn't do the whole story and the concept justice. Bits of it are great but it just isn't as cohesive as I would like

i'm not really into Pink Floyd but this album is magnificent ! (47# in my chart). it's the album with the most 5/5 songs (9 tracks), but it's a double album, it helps
