That's interesting you say that, I don't know if I would have made that connection. I tend to really like P-Funk and enjoy most of Pink Floyd's work, but Animals never clicked with me. Maybe time for a re-listen.

Apropos of nothing, I listened to the 2018 remixed version and couldn't hear enough of a difference to say it's worth having, though I suppose it doesn't sound worse or anything like that.

By the way, Battersea power station has been converted into a shopping mall and commercial/residential complex — somehow I didn't know that until yesterday.

Really only thought that upon seeing it as AOTD. Obviously not a 1 to 1 comparison necessarily but it’s Floyd’s grooviest effort with an interesting, bordering on cartoony concept behind the music and album’s aesthetics.

Relistened to it on vinyl a few weeks ago and gained a new appreciation for it personally. Always thought it was great, but I was stunned by it this time around.
