15 years in and still nothing quite sounds like this. Even Animal Collective have veered off in other directions that feel more of a piece with their work prior to MPP. Still a gripping, mind-bending, gorgeous record.
I've listened to this before but never *really* given it a fair shake in the way it deserves (because it was before I listened to music the "BEA" way probably ). I remember being underwhelmed at the time, but maybe I was only half-listening or wasn't in the right headspace to receive it. All my music nerd jam band friends say I'd love it. Well...I love the album cover already!
