So I was in the process of doing a top 50 female artists chart, I decided I didn't want to delete my chart though, so I thought I would post it here

Up to you as to what you consider "female artist" I am fine with bands like Portishead as Beth is the chief singer songwriter in the band, however something like MBV or Sonic Youth is not really acceptable.

Sure why not. I won't chart Portishead though, that would mean the main appeal is in Beth Gibbons, and I think it's the interaction between Gibbons and others that makes this band so great.
