Great album with many great moments even though their next album would be even better! _________________ "The Beatles, the greatest band known to mankind." - Bismah Mughal

Not as good as their debut or the one after this, but decent.
The Bucket or Four Kicks would be the best moments for me. _________________ Shut up mate you're boring!

My favorite moments would be "Slow Night, So Long", "King of the Rodeo", "The Bucket", "Soft" and "Day Old Blues".. if anyone cares! I also like this better than their debut.. if anyone cares!

I like this record. I haven't gotten around to comparing all of their records side-by-side so I don't know where this falls. What I always find fascinating about these guys is the antipathy that they stir up in some people. I don't see what's not to like let alone a reason for animosity. I don't really get the premise that their old stuff was amazing and the later stuff is garbage either. Maybe someone could enlighten me.

Personally I feel that they "did a U2", and began pandering to a stadium rock audience. I would say this is their third best album (after 'Youth and Young Manhood' and 'Because of the Times'), but their debut EP is still my favourite release.

Yeah, this explains it well, more well than I could at least.

And they released a clothing range and whilst Only By The Night was not terrible the subsequent releases have been really shit. _________________ Shut up mate you're boring!
