Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 3% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 77.5/100, a mean average of 76.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.7/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.6.

I like all the songs very much pre punk music. But it is like The Stooges or The Who just a little bit different. The Track Starship is one of the kind i don´t like so much because of the squeak. But the rest is quite good.

Really good raw album. First two songs are the best.

These guys are up there with the Stooges and the Who as the greatest proto-punk bands, it's a crime that this album isn't in the top 1000.

Raw rock'n'roll at it's most fiery. Full of grit, hunger and passion. Just what it should all be about.

Awesome energy and guitar work, but is kinda lacking in songwriting (although Motor City Is Burning showed they could do more than just be hard, loud and fast)... or at least the recording doesn't allow for it to translate well. I wonder if kick out the jams would be just another track on here if it weren't for the RATM cover (meaning is it the RATM cover that gives the songwriting clarity and translates it into something much greater similar to All Along the Watchtower with Hendrix/Dylan?)?

Part of me wishes it had this energy, but was a studio release, but part of me loves the raw live energy.

I feel the vibe of this album, it's noise and loud.
Every live album has it's own vibe, but this one is really unique
