according to his bandcamp page, italian artist sidereal fortress wanted to conjure up a magical atmosphere, akin to the feeling he had when his grandparents told him "christmas, fantasy and traditional tales" during the winter. with nice applications of medieval-sounding instruments, murky synths and delicate chimes, this slight record is at least partially successful in capturing nostalgic wonder and flights of fancy, one just wishes it dug a little deeper.
