Recorded over 5 days 'Years To Burn' nicely melds Sams folk sensibilities with the Calexico spaghetti western open plain sound we know and love
Couple of stand out pretty tracks in "Father Mountain" and title track "Years to Burn" whilst the 8 minute "The Bitter Suite (Pájaro / Evil Eye / Tennessee Train)" is a strange beast and could have been left off the final cut
Overall well worth your time checking out
