I don't know why I decided to give this album a listen considering that a) most people seem to strongly dislike this album and b) I don't usually listen to remix albums because they tend to be trash. The Blanck Mass Sessions proves that last point - this is an unnecessary, lifeless and terrible record which strips away every piece of integrity and artistic value from Editors' music. The opening track is okay but the remaining remixed versions of songs featured on Violence are nothing short of bad. I don't know why anyone would feel the need to listen to Editors on a nightclub dance-floor. That makes even less sense when considering the dance-pop sound on Violence; why wasn't that enough?
Don't waste your time or money on this. Stick to Violence, that's at least a pretty good record.

Violence is the better detailed version of this album. I don't understand that this had to be released. More for the hardcore fan who really loves Violence.
