This is actually a pretty good album, if you don't mind the singer's voice. It's not as bad as that of REO Speedwagon's Kevin Cronin, but it's close. (I think they know this, too, because the lyric in the song "Keep on Going" is clearly "keep on rollin'," which strongly suggests to me that somebody told them and they just changed the title in the hopes that nobody would notice.) If you can get past the first couple of tracks though, you can probably get used to it — and if so, pretty soon you'll realize this record is full of great hook-filled, high-energy guitar-pop songs, sometimes even verging on 60s bubblegum-hit territory. The band name is a problem, though. Maybe this "singing sword" thing is just something they do in Norway... Lots of things probably go on there involving swords and other bladed weapons, maybe even Kevin Cronin, and we just have no idea because documentary filmmakers and investigative reporters keep getting distracted by all the smoking-hot Norwegian women.
