Unfortunately I just don't appreciate this type of music. It's pleasant enough to be on in the background of a swanky bar but I wouldn't ever go out of my way to listen to it. The first track is nice though, although could be half the length.
Stunningly good! A must-have for any fan of Jazz. 9.5/10!
Another brilliant display from John Coltrane that reaffirms him as one of the greatest jazz musicians that has ever performed. The fact that this is his 4th or 5th best album is astonishing as it just shows how amazing he was because this album is fantastic. He steals the show on this release as well with his saxophone guiding us through the whole record with his genius solos demonstrating his mastery of the instrument. He is also backed up very strongly by all three of the other musicians. The piano is especially great as it adds an additional lead and takes control of some of the songs such as on But Not For Me. Overall, this is an essential piece of jazz music that is amongst Coltrane's greatest ever recordings.

Coltrane pretty much killed it every time he stepped into a studio. The title track is especially outstanding.

Easily one of the greatest jazz albums of all time. Mixes Coltrane's bop improvisation with classic showtunes and American standards in a way that's both nostalgic and innovative.
