The energetic, motor-mouthed frontman of The J. Giels Band, Peter Wolf, struck out on a solo career in the mid 80s. His solo career was met with yawns. His second release on his own was "Come As You Are." Released in 1987 on EMI America (Cat#: 4XT-17230) the version I have on hand is the cassette edition. Wolf still brings the energy on songs like the title cut and "Can't Get Started" and one can see his devotion to the blues idiom which influenced the repertoire of his former band. There just is not that one stand out that makes this album memorable at all. Authenticated on discogs.com
