Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 12% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.9/100, a mean average of 75.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.8.

Interesting one this. Good riffs. Good rhythms. Most tracks are well above average. So theoretically it's a cracker. But...for some reason it's not memorable and one you feel like listening to often. It's the vocals that don't do it for me. Like Dave Grohl, the vocals are great on the slower songs. But on the majority of faster tracks, I feel they're not really his forte and just not that good

This is one of my top 100 albums which you can check out together with additionele comments.
Albums like this are not made anymore: the moment I bought "Troublegum" it grabbed me by the throat by its sheer energy and it has continued to do so since then.
This album doesn't contain one lesser song and the combination of the voice of Andy Cairns, the guitar playing and the songwriting makes this album a stand-out. Also live Therapy? emits the same energy.

Good alternative rock/alternative metal album. Best 10 songs average is 81,8/100 and the album can get good 80/100. The song "Nowhere" pushes the album. This hit I'm rating 95/100. Followed by "Screamager", "Hellbelly", "Die laughing", "Unbeliever" and "Loonacy booth" all only just good 80/100. Notable is "Unrequited" as an awful song.
