Originally released by RCA Records in 1987 as (Cat#: NL89971 (2)) and part of the Jazz Tribune No. 71 series, this double LP compilation covers the era which the title suggests. The cd version which I have on hand is also an RCA release (Cat#: 66466-2 07863) and features 31 tracks spread over 2 discs. The unmistakable piano master is in great effect on all these tracks. The package is criminally short on liner notes however. Get it for the music!!! Authenticated on discogs.com

A lot of hard work happens in the background to keep BEA running, and it's especially difficult to do this when we can't pay our hosting fees :(
