The legendary Muddy Waters sideman/guitarist/riff master, Hubert Sumlin was captured later in life on this solo album released in 1998 on Blues Planet Records (Cat#: BPCD-1116) that also features a very grooving back-up band. Sumlin tears through 10 tracks of his own composition ably, unleashing some of the guitar tenacity that made him one of the most respected guitarists in the history of music. The riffs are in evidence throughout, but Sumlin allows his sidemen ample room to shine as well. Most notobly saxman Jerry Vivino, keybordist Scott Healy and producer/guitarist Jimmy Vivino.
