I'm not familiar with other yo la tengo records so can only comment on this one but I have been playing this in the car traveling to work. Like another review says it never blows my mind but it's never shit either it's pretty solid 7/10 all the way through and I've yet to get bored of it even after a good ten or so listens
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed 'This Stupid World', particularly the strong start and Krautrock influences. It may sound a little flat mix wise, but is the strongest release from Yo La Tengo in recent memory. (Edited)

The "Krautrock" inspiration that Yo La Tengo adopts on their latest project is a really interesting aspect and asset.
This album symbolizes imperfection, it's efficient when it's simple, intriguing and fascinating when it gets lost, it's never marvellous but it remains very charming. In any case, it's been a long time since the band made such a good LP
