I like to listen to this album when I'm driving. It can get kind of hard to hear it though. I can dig it.

On Electr-O-Pura, Yo La Tengo produce what I consider their most consistent and cohesive album to date. Nowhere near as sprawling as their upcoming albums, Electr-O-Pura is a strong and focused alternative rock album unparalleled by many other bands. With highlights too numerous to list, I will instead recommend spending some quality time with "Blue Line Swinger", the album's closing track. A perfectly-nuanced build leading to an explosive climax with offkey Beach Boys-esque background vocals as icing on the cake, Yo La Tengo prove they are a band like no other. Lightyears above and beyond the competition.
