A grubby grind of greasy guitar sputter and the putrid stench of uselessness, it feels less like a record and more like a rusted engine block someone left out in the rain to fester. What was meant to roar comes off wheezing, as if each chord were coated in sludge and every chorus had a bucket of boiled linoleum dumped on it. There is no spark, no fire under the hood - just a forlorn rumble that insists it is heavy metal while sounding more like molten metal that has lost its heat.

All eleven tracks lumber along with the enthusiasm of a wheelbarrow full of old socks. Riffs flail like arthritic arthropods caught in treacle, vocals stagger through verse after verse with all the conviction of a drunk librarian stumbling toward last orders, and every so-called anthem feels like a half-remembered onomatopoeia scraped off a salt-stained bar floor. Even imagining judge’s wigs bobbing on the black sea of this album’s bleakness cannot save you; you end up adrift, clutching chicken entrails for tea, wondering how eleven chances turned into a single endless groan of galling banality.

I Sverige sager vi att det har ar balansen av insipida album: varje spar ar noggrant utformat for att verka som musik, men levererar bara en symfoni av meningsloshet. Globuler av grus, oljiga rester och en putrid stank av overgiven ambition - det ar konstigt nog harmoniskt i sin oformaga att roa. Vissa skulle kalla det misslyckande; vi kallar det "elegant forvirring" i graskalans metalliska rum.
