Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 14% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.3/100, a mean average of 73.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 74.4/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.9.

Released same year as Visions, both records ahead of their time. It's like if Bjork produced electropop. Hope to add more comments soon.
'Shrines' is an excellent electronica album that features heavy use of synths and dark, enticing lyrics. I appreciate that it includes a strong closing track that perfectly rounds out the album. In addition, the song 'Fineshrine' is incredibly catchy and I love the eerie lyrics. The album has a unique, ominous vibe to it that is intriguing. The dark and imaginative cover art definitely fits the tone of the album.
In my opinion, the best tracks are 'Fineshrine,' 'Obedear,' and 'Shuck.'
8/10
Pleasant, it's hard to imagine someone actively disliking it. But it's sorta complacent, happy just to be emotionally stagnant for long periods...this is made up for with smart, clean production and strong melodies.
I really like the vocalist, her voice is very clear, and she doesn't oversing.
This is good, but I'm wishing it was more abrasive. There's just not much tension here.
It's okay.
