Re-escuchada después de muchos años. Quizás mi favorito de Fiona Apple. Tiene maravillosos discos. Le sigo teniendo un lugar especial a Valentine, Hot Knife y Every Single Night.
A fantastic album where every song can stand by itself as they are all great. The experimentation on the album creates such a rich environment for you to explore that you feel drawn to keep coming back to the record. The multiple layers work so well in unison and creates a smooth flowing album that still has personality and roughness for you to enjoy. This is added to by the vocal performance which is changed on each song to match the style that she is trying to create. Lyrically it is also a joy to delve into once you have heard it a few times. Overall, this is a masterpiece and is one of the most innovative and creative modern day albums I have listened too.

This album made me realize that Fiona has had an amazingly unique approach from the very beginning and she's just been honing her craft for 20+ years now.

Her tenor takes this tone similar to someone on the edge of a nervous breakdown and I love it. The writing is filled with fantastic imagery my favorite being on "Werewolf". The instrumentation is creative but I do feel like it could be a little less sparse.
Awesome album that gets better as it goes along, peaking right at the end with Hot Knife.
