Shortlisted for album of the year in 1985. The winner was Can't Slow Down by Lionel Richie
Well the hits are good, and got constant airplay at the time. Album has 4 covers I think, and Steel Claw is the best of these. Five good tracks are brought down a bit by five mediocre ones, making this a good album but not a great one.

Three bangers: Private Dancer, Let's Stay Together, What's Love ..
Good track I Can't stand the rain
Other tracks are mainly fillers, not bad but forgettable

I like this one, especially 'Let's Stay Together', 'Private Dancer' and 'What's Love'.
Fun album!
It stands up surprisingly well. It's a decent album. Competent soul rock. Mark Knopfler's title track is a highlight, as is, What's love got to do with it, and a soulful version of the Beatles, Help!. Good pop album.
Perfect comeback album.
