This is a concept album about the life (and death) of British Computational Sciences pioneer Alan Turing, who after breaking the Enigma code and thus hugely contributing to the Allied victory in World War II, was prosecuted under Britain's homophobic "indecency" laws and driven to suicide. Obviously the story is horrifying, but as for the album, most of what you hear on it is soundtrack-type light orchestral music with synths, playing under a narration provided by famous British actress Juliet Stevenson. So it's really more of a short audiobook with elaborate background music. That's fine, but like most audiobooks, I can't help feeling like I only need to hear it once.
