The Coup always brings a fair amount of social and political commentary with his funk and "sorry to bother you" is no different. He does seem a tad MORE obnoxious this time around. It feels like an additional layer of gloss and vocal help, especially nice female vox on "the guillotine" (best track) and "this year", were added this time around, which helps temper his obnoxiousness. "sorry to bother you" often sounds like the fun-yet-chaotic living room scene album art.
