The jazzy instrumentation on this hip-hop album is, at times, pretty phenomenal. Think of a more raucus Roots fronting the Bad Plus. Some tracks augment the backing jazz with smooth raps and pleasantly draped (female) backing vocals. Other tracks bring sloppy rapping and a mess of rhythmic direction. Both of these polar elements can drop in one song ("who do u-luv"). A throwback in today's sampling, electronic, dubstep era hip-hop, the kids these days bring a live band feel that can't be topped by any big name contemporaries in music today.

A lot of hard work happens in the background to keep BEA running, and it's especially difficult to do this when we can't pay our hosting fees :(
