Best Tracks : They dance alone ; Englishman.... and Fragile . The rest cannot stand up against those gems.

The best Sting album, nothing less nothing more
Brilliant album. Perhaps not as well known as his other CDs, but this one features some of Sting's finest craftmanship.

A great double album from Sting contains some of his best songs Englishman In New York, Fragile, a good cover of Little Wing and 3 songs about how the heart rules over the head Lazarus... Straight To My... and Be Still my Beating.... They Dance Alone & We'll Be Together deserve a mention also. Overall the album has a worldly feel to it.
Sting is excellent for his voice and his message. Consistently reflective and sometimes haunting he makes interesting music.
I prefer the debut and Ten Summoners Tales over this, but I rank Nothing Like the Sun 3rd or 4th in his Catalogue
Fragile is a fantastic song. Englishman in New York is a finely written tale. Starts of excellent with tracks 1 and 2
I find most songs that are about dancing tacky and corny but Dance Alone is done splendidly.
B side of the album is good work but less memorable as the beginning.
Great Sting record
"Fragile" is only the best song off all the times!!!

Sting's songwriting on this is incredible. "They Dance Alone" is simply a fantastic song.

The first CD I ever bought.....1987......On the back of the Dream of the Blue Turtles which was a masterful album as an 11 year old, this album took more work but was full of space, timing and art.......Sting had something to say about the world and this album defined his legacy
This a real tour de force for Sting. Excellent musicianship and some his most inspired songs are featured. Very underrated album from a master songcrafter.
