Hex (studio album) by Bark Psychosis

Just heard this cos it was album of the day and what a stunner.
On first listen I really rate it. Am listening to it late at night which adds to the atmosphere.
Glad it came up as AOTD or it might have passed me by.

I listened to this album this morning after relistening to Spirit of Eden last night. Certainly similar albums. While I don’t think this album is quite as good as that one, Hex is certainly still an enjoyable album and one that deserves to be highly regarded.

Supremely underrated. Favourite tracks: The Loom, A Street Scene.

It's spiritual

Quite nice atmosphere, sounds a lot like you'd expect looking at the cover. The further they sound from Talk Talk's later records the more this album has to offer, which isn't what I expected having been brought here through the comparisons.

Nothing is more elegant , mystical and profound was never written in the contemporary music scene .

This album is like nothing I've ever heard before... every track is just fantastic, not a single filler, with this superbe gloomy atmosphere that permeates every second of it. It's quiet, dark and unpredictable in the way of using so many instruments together and in the way of songs' structure. And for these last two reasons it was the first album wich was described as post-rock. The only influences you can track down are Talk Talk's last two albums, but if not for that, this masterpiece came out from nowhere.
