The concept is based upon work done in 1964 by his father, Jóhann Gunnarsson, chief maintenance engineer of one of the country’s first computers, and Elias Davidsson, one of the first programmers in the country. They made reel-to-reel recordings of a singing IBM 1401 and Johann Johannsson used the recordings he found in his father’s attic to create this amazing work.

Pere Ubu always produce great albums. I am not sure about the title of this one, but the music sounds great.

This is just amazing. I have no idea what he is singing about, but this album has everything - even someone punching an animal carcass!

Even an aging Nightingales can create work of more worth than bands half their age.

I know nothing about this band apart from this being a good album. It got a really good review in Mojo, so I decided to give it a try.

I love the version of Elton John's Daniel that is on this album.

Ex-Swell Maps. Nikki Sudden is always worth a listen. This was one of the last albums he recorded before he died.

Glasgow ned boys produce another good album of mainly instrumental stuff.

This is a scary album. It wasn't what I expected when I bought it and I had to give it quite a few listens before I liked it. Lots of drug abuse references and other terrible sadnesses.
