With each consecutive album, this band just doesn't lose steam and they prove that on every single track of this album with The Golden Halo and On The Chain as the hardest hitting standouts. One of the best of the year.

Sounds like a heavier version of Radiohead or maybe even more The Smile, and the voice of Corey Hanson which sounds very much like Thom Yorke's adds very much to that. The songs are very guitar based but also many other (weird) instruments fight for your attention. The album starts in a fantastic way with Hangman which goes over nicely in Curtain Call. Songs like Lifeboat have some nice jazzy elements and High Time is just one big long trip with one highlight after the other. Only Mistletoe is maybe a bit too weird to be actually a great song but otherwise I can't find any weaker parts here. One of the best albums of 2024.

At least half of the tracks could have come from a (succesful) Pavement reunion album because, although this is a supergroup from all different artists, the presence of Stephen Malkmus is fairly dominant and that's absolutely a good thing.

This album makes me think of Early Teenage Fanclub but this Canadian Band clearly can find it's own way: one of the best albums of the year.

At first I thought: another album from Pearl Jam: so what. But this record just blew my socks off. It already starts with the first two tracks which are two of the most energetic tracks they ever recorded. And that's just the beginning: Upper Hand, Waiting For Stevie and Got To Give are just as good and each and everything there is that little special to each of the tracks. I'm not the biggest fan of the singing voice of Eddie Vedder especially on the slower tracks and that's why Something Special is the weakest track here although it's still something special. I'm still doubting a bit but this might be their best album. ever.

Shoegaze combined with good guitar music especially on tracks like Brown Paper Bag and Raining On Your Pillow. This might be their best album in already well built legacy.
