Top 100 Music Albums of 2025

This is a culmination of the most ambitious rating project I have undertaken to date. I will have listened to and rated over 175 albums from 2025 of all different genres, origins, and levels of popularity (evident by the many albums I added to the site while making this) by its end. While it's not necessarily an impressive number of albums listened to for a year among this awesome community of music lovers, it's the most albums I have listened to from one year by far.
I was surprised to learn on making this that I still have close to a third of BEA's 2025 top 100 unlistened to, but I am taking a break for the time being from 2025 music after this project concludes so I can continue to flesh out the rest of my charts.
Here is my somewhat comprehensive top 100 albums of 2025.

92.632 - This project is all the evidence I need to know TDE is in good hands outside of Kendrick Lamar.

91.316 - This man is doing for us now what Bob Dylan did for us 50 years ago. He may never gain the same recognition, but he is that great in my opinion.

89.375 With how much I loved diving into the entire discography of The Wonder Years last year, I wouldn't have suspected a compilation album -- not just of the hits, but reimaginings of various songs -- to top my ratings of their entire catalog. But this album collects some of their best tracks along with putting on some fantastic performances that often elevate the original track.

89 - This EP came to me thanks to a song recommendation off of it from small, but great youtuber EricTheYoungGawd. It blew me away. LeRoi is an incredible R&B act that I hope can blow up soon. We need more great R&B.

88.947 - I have told several people that if there was one album from 2025 that they needed to listen to, it is this one. Such a great concept Jazz Rap album that hopefully has put McKinley Dixon on more people's radars.

88.696 - I have enjoyed Miley Cyrus' music for a while, but did not expect a project this different and this strong from her in the year of our lord 2025.

88.438 - This was a haunting and powerful release from Billy Woods. Unlike any other hip hop album I heard all year.

88.214 - I was turned onto Olive Klug thanks to the wonderful app Music League. Her style of folk is one I gravitate towards and lyrics were sharp to boot.
