Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 93.7/100, a mean average of 92.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 93.8/100. The standard deviation for this track is 12.7.

Primera pieza de Harrison en el album, es una pieza representativa de su estilo

If we’re talking about my favorite songs, be they Beatles tunes or not, I don’t know if I feel all that strongly about While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
However, the score I’ve given it reflects the objective quality George composed here and the high point it is on its act of the White Album.
Plus, it led to Prince absolutely fucking shredding the solo like it was nothing nearly 4 decades later. An all time great guitar moment.
Una de mis 10 canciones favoritas de todos los tiempos, especialmente en la versión del Concierto para Bangladesh.
George wrote this song after the Beatles' return from India, and it was the song that rekindled his love for the guitar, after having studied the sitar for two years. It was the start of a new period of songwriting for him. George famously asked his friend Eric Clapton to help him out with the track. Although Clapton declined at first ("I can't do that. Nobody ever plays on Beatles records."), George persuaded hum to come to the studio and play lead guitar on the song. Harrison recalled that John and Paul, who weren't very interested in the song at first, "tried a bit harder" in the presence of guitar god Clapton.
Very nice song that is rightly appreciated here on the site. Although excerpts from the lyrics ("I look at the floor and see it needs sweeping") sound at least somewhat strange and far-fetched, the strong composition makes up for everything. Unbelievable how Harrison, who for a long time was completely in the shadow of McCartney and Lennon when it comes to writing songs, suddenly pulled it off with songs that effortlessly matched those of his fellow musicians.

Como daria errado! O melhor de Harrison mais a guitarra de Clapton!
One of the greatest rock songs of all time.
Also, this song being ranked as the 2nd greatest Beatles song on this website is simply ridiculous.
