Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 91.9/100, a mean average of 90.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 92.1/100. The standard deviation for this track is 13.0.

Awesome rock tune. One of the best of the 80s
Black Francis references 'Un Chien Andalou'( a Dali/Bunuel surrealist film of the 1920's) which contains a scene where a man is slicing a girl's eyeballs. Nice. It is said the film debases morality and standards of art hence the song title. Some might say this song does the same for music. I couldn't possibly comment.
I like very much the riff and the bass. Good quality awesome.
Way ahead of its time.
This is my favorite song to sing to. Absolutely awfully beautiful
Sounded new in 1989.
Sounded new in 1999.
Sounded new in 2009.
Will still sound new in 2019 and beyond.
Man, the first time I heard this song, I was like wtf is this shit.
Cracking track, 100/100
Awesome opener :D Love the Bunuel reference!
"I am un chien andalusia." It's pretty hard to argue with that ironclad logic. I really have no idea what Black Francis is getting at here, nor do I know what a debaser is, aside from the obvious: one who debases. What I do know is that this song has one hell of a catchy riff, and it's a great introduction to one of rock music's wildest gibberish fests.
